A striking design statement, this vase incorporates the centuries-old art form known as marqueterie de paille, or straw marquetry. The straw strips are arranged in an abstract sunburst pattern; the motif also echoes the angles of the vase's silhouette. Parts of the vase are accented with a golden lacquered finish for added luxuriousness. Crafted in Italy exclusively for us, the vase has a glass insert to ensure that it is watertight.
